Lago Vista Viking Marching Band

The Lago Vista High School Viking Marching Band is comprised of 80 students in grades 8-12 and serves is the largest student organization on the Lago Vista High School campus.  

The marching band prepares a competitive marching show each year and will compete in two or three competitions in the fall.  The band competes in the 3A classification of the University Interscholastic League and maintains a tradition of excellence each year.

The marching band attends all varsity football games, both home and away, and is the primary source of the Viking spirit!

Lago Vista High School Symphonic Band

The Lago Vista High School Symphonic Band is comprised of the finest musicians at Lago Vista High School.

The Symphonic Band performs at the highest level of musicianship and serves as the premiere performing group of Lago Vista High School.  Selection into this group requires the exhibition of strong musicianship and academic proficiency.  

The Symphonic Band performs in the 3A classification of the University Interscholastic League and maintains a tradition of excellence.

In addition to competition, the ensemble performs at the annual Lago Vista Veteran's Day Celebration, a holiday performance each December, the annual Lago Vista Children's Concert (sponsored by the Lago Vista Women's Club), and a spring concert performance each May.

In 2019, the ensemble was asked to perform at the Texas State Capitol Building by invitation of Texas Representative Vikki Goodwin.

Lago Vista Viking Jazz Ensemble

The Lago Vista High School Viking Jazz Ensemble is an audition-based ensemble of about fifteen students that provides education and performance opportunities surrounding the jazz style.

The jazz ensemble performs at all concerts, a competition in the spring, as well as a tour of our district campuses at the end of the year to help students get excited about band and the jazz style of music.
