Lago Vista Middle School Symphonic Band

The Lago Vista Middle School Concert Band is comprised of the advanced students who have had at least one year of band experience in their career.

The Symphonic Band performs at all middle school pep rallies, as well as at the annual Sounds of the Season Christmas Concert organized by the Lago Vista Band Department.

During the spring, the band prepares contest repertoire for both UIL Concert and Sightreading, as well as for one additional competition that coincides with a spring trip.

The Middle School Symphonic Band has a tradition of excellence - achieving superior ratings at their competitions.

Lago Vista Beginning Band

The Lago Vista Beginning Band is comprised of students who are starting their band career.

These students are separated by instrument into separate classes during the school day as they learn the basics of their instrument. As they advance, students will begin preparing full band repertoire and will typically perform at least one full band piece at the annual Christmas concert.

In the spring, students continue to advance on their instruments and begin preparing for Solo and Ensemble Contest, as well as for a full-band contest that coincides with their spring trip.

By the end of their first year in band, students are comfortable enough on their instruments to feel successful in the Lago Vista Middle School Symphonic Band.
